Taiwan Adventure (Part 2) ~ Windmills

This is going to be a short short update on how beautiful the windmills in Taiwan are! :) and of course the sunset. The sunset in Taiwan at that time (3 weeks ago) was at around 5.40pm to 5.50 pm. So it got dark really early but the sunset was breathtaking! The sun there (i know we all have the same sun) looks soooo orange like an egg yolk! The sky would be painted with shades of orange here and there, like in the above photo.

The windmills were huge and there was an endless row of them, as far as your eye can wander. It is on a seaside if I'm not mistaken. And the wind was blowing so much wth; i know i know, if theres no wind, the windmills will not be able to generate electricity. This is just a warning to those people who doesn't want a hair-covered face in your photograph, tie your hair a bit maybe? Or just cope with hair flying everywhere la and look like a top model :)

Holla! I know it's been ages since I last blogged :( It's just that I can't find the right time to put a good blogpost in here so no point doing it right? Sigh. After my examinations end of this year, I promise to come back more often okay! ;) hmm will try la to blog about my holidays (IF time permits).

Shall do a short update. First and foremost, a very Selamat Hari Raya and Eid Mubarak  to all Muslims out there (this is a little belated but I guess it's alright?) First off, let me bring you on a journey to the capital city of Malaysia, the famous Kuala Lumpur with all the tall and scary skyscrapers looming above. The cityscape is pretty piece to admire and view especially if you're living in a hotel in the centre of such a bustling city. Yep, you're right. I stayed in Best Western Premier Hotel, placed exactly in the centre of Kuala Lumpur, there's nothing you can miss when you glance out the window.

Just a tip: The carpark here is a bit tricky. Unless you have an amazing driving skill, I highly recommend you don't drive a huge car here. The last time I came, car got a scratch. The price is definitely cheaper than most hotels and the rooms are pretty spacious as well.

What did I do in Kuala Lumpur:

I am pretty sorry but I don't really turn to become an adventurous tourist when I go to KL instead I turn into a horrible shopaholic. I visit malls more than ever. Since you know we kind of lack malls here in my hometown, Ipoh (if you haven't paid Ipoh a visit, you should! It's not that rundown and all, in fact it's a great place to be around ~ just like a more touristy place and less skyscrapers ~ perfect for people that wants to make a short getaway from the bustling city to a more serene place) 

So I visited Paradigm Mall on the very day I arrived. This mall is more on the branded side. It has brands like H&M which sells perfect attire for teenagers like me :) it also has brands like Zara (I would really love to buy everything in that store which is highly unlikely to be happening anytime soon sadly). Maybe I should just start working already. Any vacancy? Haha anyway I got myself some pretty good deals that day :) Currently I am really into cool tops with cool wordings. Any suggestions where I could get them? :) 

Then, to be very honest, that practically wraps up my journey. Since the next day, I went to Mid Valley and got myself practically nothing. Been pretty good at saving up these days. :)

Birthday week (Part 2) ~ Short trip to Kuala Lumpur

Planned to have Eewen over for a sleepover but plan failed. :( Mum woke me up on the morning just to ask me to join her on this short trip to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. She booked the hotel and everything and and finally we are staying at The Gardens Residences after so longgg. I missed it so much. Its like so convenient, when I'm tired i can go and rest, when i feel like looking at pretty new stuff i can go downstairs and shop! :)

Dad has some work to do so we ended up in Pavilion. We looked around and landed ourselves in Tony Roma's steak house. I ordered the Filet Medallions while mum ordered the Steak & Wild Mushroom Flatbread and sis, oh well, something like mine but with extra Salmon Picatta :) We were like sooo full after this meal. And decided to go walk around, saw plenty of stuff but didn't buy any, guess my shopaholic disease receded :P

Dad picked us up and checked in at the hotel and we went up for a short rest and showered and all. :) Thennnn dad said he has to go out again to meet some people so mummy decided to walk around The Gardens Mall. Saw this really pretty dresssss but too bad its too big for me :( It has this really beautiful shade of blue with a very nice design, gosh just talking about it makes me feel down.

Then after an hour of aimless walking, mum decided to go eat again lol. This time at a Korean cuisine restaurant. I was still full from lunch, but someone like me, obviously couldn't resist food XD Returned to the hotel after a day of Food Marathon, BUT its not over yet :P

On thursday, woke up and went down for brunch at My Toast at 11pm. Ate nasi lemak and Kaya Butter Toast. LOL this was actually unintentional, Dad ordered the nasi lemak and offered me some and it was too delicious i ended up eating the whole plate of it as Dad said he was still full from the previous breakfast he had with one of his employees.

Walked to Mid Valley and window shopped and realized its 2pm already so mum suggested to have lunch at this Taiwanese cuisine before going back to Ipoh. So we ate again. Yummmyyy! hehehe then we walked around to help with digestion then, saw this GongCha shop and dad asked me if i wanted to try, of course i do! So drank another cup of Gongcha. -.- GongCha is almost like Chatime, i don't really feel any difference, but i have yet to try other flavors of drinks there though :)

Finally Mum said the Food Marathon is over and we should head back to Ipoh, and hence this marks the end of the short trip to Kuala Lumpur :)
