Mini Getaway & Food Trip to Penang Island ~ Day 2!

Rrrringggg rringggg! The sound of the alarm clock woke me up from my peaceful slumber, marking another wonderful day ahead! :) Dressed up in simple blouse and a pair of neon shorts, I am all set to start off another day on this island! :D

Somehow this outfit makes me feel like I am on a vacation haha

Wondered around the island and finally came to a decision to try a hawker stall with the name Bee Hooi and? In my opinion, this store lacks variety of food. Like Penang is a food paradise right? So should have more kinds of food for people to choose la surely. And the food there is like more to non Penang specialty one leh. There was American Breakfast, wan tan mee, pau, chicken rice and loh mee. Loh mee is the only dish I have never heard before so I decided to try that. And if you're not a fan of starch, then I highly recommend you NOT to eat it here. Contains so much starch the noodles can't even be pulled up from the soup. Ew. (P.S maybe you would like to try it somewhere else lol) Or maybe you just try la at Bee Hooi since it was all just my opinion and I am pretty picky when it comes to food :/

Then off to wander around again. There's a lot to do in Penang! But I just can't decide what to do first. I tell you, we wasted an hour wandering here and there lol. In the end, we just decided to get off the car already! And we ended up smacked in front of the Pinang Peranakan Mansion. It's this green building located near Pengkalan Weld :) if you are that kind of outdoor tourist person then you should definitely visit that area cause there are a lot of interesting stuff to see here!

My lovely popo and I at the entrance :)
The entry fee is RM 20/pax. But you can take pictures throughout the mansion la. The furniture inside and the architecture were all very pretty and antique :) If I am not mistaken those dramas and movies like Little Nyonya were filmed here. Let the pictures talk!

Let me tell you, the details of decorative items in this mansion is mind blowing! How can every decorative item in this huge mansion be all so prettily designed? It must have taken a lot of effort in order to produce such beautiful items.

Okay, I am hooked and totally amazed at all these pretty things :(

Even the jadeeeee :O

The ancestor place. It seems that the current generation comes back to pay their respect every year.
Look at the carvings on the door! So exquisite!

Daddy and lil sis :)

Part of the bedroom :)
Traditional Makeup? Haha

Majestic staircase!
Opium anybody?
Hello! We are the daughters of the empress!
I shall stop here haha. :P
Lunch time! :) Went to Gurney Drive and entered another hawker stall, I forgot the name but it's located next to the Sunway Hotel. Okay we ordered a bit too much but we finished it all! Too delicious omg. Four plates of Char Koay Teow, two bowls of laksa, one plate of andy Yau Yu Ong Choi ( jellyfish and vege with Rojak sauce) plus coconut juice! :)

Some street art I saw while driving by :)
Fetched Mummy from Batu Ferringghi and now we decided to go to Gurney Plaza. Nothing much one this mall to be honest, Queensbay is a much better choice in my opinion.  Bigger and more choice of shops (cause thats where I went after getting bored of Gurney plus it is just next to my hotel!)

The only thing interesting is this box here! They have the best Macaroon store here, Valerie! Yumssss!

Dinner @ Dome! I am sure most of you know what it is since this is available in KL and many other places, but I am still going to blog about it just in case you don't :)

Tiramisu Cakeee!
Wild Mushroom Soup!

Gourmet Chicken Pie! This is really yummy! And actually very filling so if you are the kind of person that eats very little, you should share this with someone!

PIZZA! Crispy and crunchy :)
This wraps up Day 2 and my mini vacation! Hope you guys find Penang interesting cause I am never good at descriptive essays and that is proven by the way i described Penang :/ Hopefully it gave you an idea of how fun it was cause it was really interesting there! Cant wait to visit again! :D

XOXO

Was it touching? :P Hahaha sorry for the stupid languages there. Tried my best to convey everything inside there.  Hopefully you like it! :)
